Cookie policy
Describes cookies and similar technologies on moosiweb.com.
Important: This policy describes how we use cookies today and how that may change. Technologies may change as we update the Site. When we add non-essential cookies (for example advanced analytics or personalisation), we will update this document and, where required by law, obtain consent through a clear mechanism (such as a cookie banner). This page is not legal advice—have counsel review if you need a compliance sign-off.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage or session storage sparingly where they help the Site function. Together we refer to these as “cookies” in this policy unless we specify otherwise.
2. How Moosi Web uses cookies today
Our current implementation prioritises first-party assets (styles and scripts served from our domain or paths we control) and a minimal cookie footprint. The primary purposes are:
- Strictly necessary operation and security—for example a PHP session when you open Contact so we can issue and verify a CSRF token before you submit the form (see table below).
- Preferences—if we add optional preference storage in future, we will document it here.
- Analytics and marketing—optional tags load only when our server enables Google Tag Manager (
MOOSI_GTM_ID) and you accept analytics in the banner. Until then, we do not load GA4 or advertising pixels from this Site.
3. Cookie inventory (baseline)
The table below reflects our intended baseline for the PHP-based Site. Actual cookie names may depend on server configuration (for example PHP session cookie name). The session cookie is typically created when you load a page that needs a session (currently the contact flow), not necessarily on every Site page.
| Name / type | Purpose | Provider | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID (or server-configured session ID) |
Server-side session for the contact form, including storage of a one-time CSRF token for secure form posts. | First party (Moosi Web) | Session — removed when you close the browser (subject to browser behaviour). | Strictly necessary |
We do not set analytics or advertising cookies in the default build when MOOSI_GTM_ID is not configured on the server.
When Google Tag Manager is enabled by our hosting configuration, a first-party cookie banner may appear. If you accept optional analytics, Google Tag Manager may load tags (for example Google Analytics 4) that set cookies such as _ga / _ga_* for measurement. Those cookies are governed by Google’s policies and your choices in the banner; we list common names below when this mode is active.
| Name (typical) | Purpose | Provider | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* |
GA4 client ID and session measurement when configured inside GTM. | Google (via tags you load in your GTM container) | Analytics / marketing (depending on tag setup) |
If we add any further non-essential cookies, we will extend this inventory and, where required, update consent wording. If your browser reports additional cookies, they may come from browser extensions, anti-virus tools, or network intermediaries outside our control.
4. Local scripts and third-party content
We aim to load fonts, icons, and scripts from paths we ship with the Site. If we embed third-party content (for example a map, video, or payment widget), that provider may set its own cookies subject to their policies. We will call out common embeds in updates to this page.
5. How to control cookies
- Use your browser’s settings to block or delete cookies. Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies may break the contact form or other features.
- Use private / incognito mode for a temporary session without long-term storage (subject to browser implementation).
- For industry opt-outs related to interest-based advertising (if we ever use such tools), we will link to relevant programmes in an updated version of this policy.
6. Do Not Track and global signals
There is no uniform legal standard for “Do Not Track” browser signals. We do not respond to DNT signals in a machine-readable way today; we minimise tracking by design until a clearer standard applies in our operating jurisdictions.
7. Changes
We will update this policy when our use of cookies changes materially. Review this page periodically for changes.
